Ad review guidelines

Before your campaign goes live, your ads will go through an Ad Review process, which can take up to 12 hours. Once approved, the campaign will start running automatically. If your ads are rejected, you’ll receive an email notification and will need to resubmit your assets.

This article explains how ads are reveiwed and how rejected content are handled in Criteo GO, and how to read the different statuses you see on the platform. It also summarizes why some ads are blocked under the Criteo Advertising Guidelines

Ad statuses in Campaigns

In the Campaign section, each ad can be in one of several statuses. These describe whether the ad is currently delivering, under review, or rejected.

Deploying

The ad is undergoing deployment. It has been created and is being propagated across the inventory.

Deployment can take up to 30 minutes before the ad goes live. The status will move to Live once deployment finishes (if there are no issues).

Under Review

The ad is waiting for validation by Criteo’s Ad Safety / moderation teams. This process can take up to 12 hours. If your ad remains in this status unusually long, you may contact support using our live chat support.

Live

The ad is actively delivering. Activate or edit delivery channels at any time through the Cross-channel reach option.

Rejected

The ad has been rejected after review and will not be displayed in Criteo’s inventory.

In practice, this means the ad is blocked by our safety systems. Update the content (for example, change image, text, or product) and re‑launch with compliant assets.

Not delivering

The ad cannot be delivered now or later due to an issue outside the ad itself.

Most probably, the Campaign is paused or ended.
