Migrating from Commerce Growth to Criteo GO

This article answers the most common questions for advertisers transitioning from Commerce Growth to Criteo GO, covering your account, data, performance, features, and commercial setup.

Account, access, and historical data

I was live with Criteo Commerce Growth in the past. Can I still access my old campaign data and reports?

Yes. Your historical performance data from Commerce Growth stays accessible after you move to Criteo GO. You can view past campaign results in reporting for up to two years back.

Can I still access the old Commerce Growth interface?

No. All onboarding and new campaign management happens in the Criteo GO interface. While you won't log into Commerce Growth again, your historical performance data remains accessible in reporting for a limited window.

Do I need a new login for Criteo GO, or can I use my existing Criteo credentials?

You do not need a completely new identity. Your existing Criteo credentials (same work email) will work, and you'll use them to access Criteo GO. Depending on your setup, you may either:

  • Sign up to Criteo GO with the same work email you used before, or

  • Create a new account on Criteo GO

All new campaign management then happens in Criteo GO.

I already had an integration with Criteo. Do I still need to go through onboarding in Criteo GO?

Yes. Even with an existing integration, we'll guide you through the Criteo GO onboarding flow. This ensures your event tracking and product catalog are set up correctly, reflect your current ecommerce stack, and give Criteo AI accurate, up-to-date data to work with.

Will my pixel/event tracking and product catalog setup stay the same?

In most cases, we start from your existing integration—so you don't need to re-implement everything from scratch. During onboarding, we verify that your events and product catalog are configured correctly for Criteo GO and make any adjustments needed. Your Criteo representative will flag any specific changes required for your setup.

Will my previous Commerce Growth campaigns be migrated into Criteo GO, or do I need to recreate them?

Your previous Commerce Growth campaigns aren't automatically moved into Criteo GO. You'll set up new campaigns directly in the Criteo GO interface, using streamlined workflows and templates that reflect our best practices.

Performance and optimization

Will performance be the same when I move from Commerce Growth campaigns to Criteo GO?

Expect a short learning phase when you first launch in Criteo GO; Criteo AI needs time to calibrate delivery and bidding for your objectives. In many cases, performance converges after this period, with the added benefit of simpler setup and cross-channel automation. We recommend evaluating results over a few weeks rather than just the first few days.

How does optimization work in Criteo GO compared to my current setup?

Criteo GO centralizes more of the optimization logic in Criteo AI. Rather than managing many separate bid and tactic combinations, you define your business goal - conversions or revenue, for example - and your budget or cost controller. Criteo AI then optimizes placements, audiences, and bids to reach that goal.

Can I still optimize toward the same goals (ROAS, CPO, COS, revenue)?

Yes. Criteo GO supports familiar performance goals—revenue, conversions, and cost-efficiency targets. The exact controls and names may look different from Commerce Growth, but the underlying objective remains the same: drive measurable commerce outcomes.

Features, formats, and channels

Which Commerce Growth features are included in Criteo GO, and which are not?

Criteo GO focuses on the most commonly used, high-impact capabilities and makes them easier to use in a self-service flow. Many advanced or highly customized features from Commerce Growth remain available there, but aren't exposed in the Criteo GO interface.

Are the same channels and formats available in Criteo GO?

Criteo GO gives you access to a multi-channel mix—web, app, and selected social environments—and formats like display, native, and video, where available for your market. The exact scope can vary by country and integration.

My business operates in several countries. Can I manage everything in Criteo GO?

Criteo GO currently focuses on specific markets where the self-service experience is available. If you run activity across multiple countries, you may use Criteo GO for eligible markets and keep other campaigns in Commerce Growth. Your Criteo contact can help you design the right setup so you maintain full coverage without duplicating work.

I integrated via Shopify or another ecommerce platform in Commerce Growth. Do I need to change anything?

If your integration was already completed using a supported ecommerce platform like Shopify, you shouldn't need to rebuild it to start using Criteo GO. In some cases, we may ask you to review your settings or update to the latest app version. We'll walk you through any required steps during migration.

Commercial model and support

Does pricing work the same way in Criteo GO as it did in Commerce Growth?

Criteo GO uses the same underlying pricing principles as Commerce Growth: performance-driven auctions and transparent reporting. Budget and cost controller management may look simpler in the interface, but the fundamentals don't change. Your Criteo representative can confirm any commercial details specific to your contract.

Will my contract or invoicing change if I move from Commerce Growth to Criteo GO?

In many cases, your existing commercial agreement with Criteo continues to apply when you launch campaigns in Criteo GO. Any changes to invoicing, billing entity, or terms will be shared with you in advance and validated by your Criteo contact.

What kind of support will I get once I start using Criteo GO?

Criteo GO is built as a self-service platform, with in-product guidance and access to a dedicated Help Center.

If you work with a Criteo team through Commerce Growth today, they may continue to support you on strategy, migration, and troubleshooting. The exact support model varies by segment and market; your Criteo representative will confirm how support is organized for your account.

If you have more questions about your specific setup, reach out to your Criteo representative, as they're your main point of contact throughout the migration.
